****Why am I gaining??****
Okay so I took note and made some changes from the last time I blogged. I am now eating only 2300 calories a day. Mostly whole grain foods, dairy, and some meats, all good foods.
I work out everyday since the 1st of the year for about 1 hour each time using both cardio and weights. Yet I can’t seem to lose more than one or two pounds this whole month. And this morning I actually gained 3 pounds. I’m really not happy about this.
This weekend I did really great too. I only had one desert on sunday night and skipped saturday desert. On saturday I counted my calories at 2200 and sunday 2100, what is going on, I’m doing everything just right, right?
Help and motivation needed!
There could be a few options that I can think of…
1) Holding water weight…are you drinking all your water each day?
2) near your TOM - I always gain or maintain around that time.
3) Building muscle mass (this is good!)
Are you measuring yourself to see if you’ve lost inches? That might be a helpful thing to do as well.
Sometimes it takes time to for your body to notice changes, espeically if they’re minor changes. Perhaps a visit to your doctor or a nutritionist might be of help to you. They might be able to advise better foods for your body that will help you lost weight, or even different exercise that might prompt your body into losing some weight.
Help is out there for us, might as well make use of it! Good luck with this week!
Are you eating too many calories? I really do not know much about counting calories, but have seen different examples of 1800, 1500 and 1200 a day calorie diets.
Perhaps another calorie counter could jump in and give you advice about it.
DO NOT GET DISCOURAGED THOUGH….you did not gain weight over night, it will not come off overnight. You are making an awesome change in your lifestyle. YOU CAN DO IT!
I heard Bob Greene say today that the more active you are, the more water your body holds. It is frustrating but just keep working on it.
Did you move? Weren’t you from Chicago?? Wow, you get around. LOL!
Have you tried a zig zag diet approach? You can confuse your body by eating various amounts of calories every day averaging about the same during the week. Your body would have to get off the baseline and start burning more calories..
Just a thought.
